Narcissus, Daffodil, Jonquil
‘Mount Hood’ has large (4″) creamy white flowers that appear in mid spring on 18″+ stems. This variety is a Trumpet Narcissus meaning that it has one of the largest trumpets of all Daffodills. The trumpet of ‘Mount Hood’ is equal to or longer than the surrounding petals or perianth segments. Also, Trumpet Narcissus produce one flower per stem. Narcissus will grow in full shade, part shade or full sun and prefer well-drained soil. Foliage should not be cut back until it turns brown – allowing enough time for the bulb to “absorb” adequate energy for the next years flower production. Planting depth: 5″ to 8″. Space bulbs 1″ to 6″ apart.
